Dawn Mullin
About
Born and raised in Chicago, Dawn grew up listening to her father be creative in structuring commercial real estate deals yet, at the time, her passion and talents focused on being an athlete. As a highly accomplished figure skater and Gold level ice dancer, she transferred those skills to become a PSIA Certified Ski Instructor at the age of 19. Knowing the dedication and commitment necessary to achieve success, Dawn put her passions on hold and attended Miami University’s School of Business in Oxford, Ohio, graduating with a degree in Marketing and Management and an emphasis in Pre-Law. After a brief career in sales, her love for skiing led her to become Co-Director of a ski school in Wisconsin - ironically now owned by Vail Resorts. A year later, she was offered a position in Vail at the Vail/Beaver Creek Ski School and, in 1982, made a life-changing move.
In 1988, Dawn joined the family legacy and obtained her real estate license. Shortly after, she earned her Employing Broker’s License and continued to strive to offer the highest level of professional expertise to her clients by completing 10 additional national and international advanced certifications and designations. This includes the revered Vail Pro Designation where she is one of only 27 recipients out of over 700 local REALTORS®. To Dawn, it’s more than the additional education and achievements; it’s about bringing a preeminent set of skills and tools that ultimately benefits her clients. Her deep-rooted desire to exceed her clients’ expectations and provide the best experience possible is recognized and reinforced by their loyalty and continuous referrals being a significant part of her outstanding success and esteemed reputation.
Dawn’s unwavering dedication to her clients is greatly enhanced by her extensive experience and knowledge of the market, paying keen attention to details, all while being an attentive and compassionate listener. Never losing sight of her client’s objectives, she facilitates the accomplishment of their goals by often thinking outside of the expected process, supporting and encouraging positive negotiations, and never giving up. Her tremendous ability to connect with others and be an effective communicator creates a comfortable Win-Win atmosphere and is instrumental in everyone achieving a sense of success.
Donating more than a thousand hours to non-profit organizations speaks to Dawn’s dedication and commitment to the community. Spearheading fundraising initiatives exemplifies her willingness to take on challenging situations knowing the outcomes will benefit others. She recently completed a three-year term as the Chair for the Vail Board of REALTORS® Foundation where she provided new direction and goal-oriented focus. She was instrumental in the development and implementation of a scholarship program for local students as well as secured a unique Playhouse that is now a permanent educational feature at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. The impact of her energy and perseverance has touched many lives.
Dawn deeply values relationships and has an innate ability to connect with whoever she meets and, in turn, loves helping connect others. Walk with her and you’ll be introduced to long-time locals and as well as visitors from around the world. You can tell she’s touched many lives and there’s no question, she treasures friendships. Experiencing so many changes and improvements in the Vail Valley over the years, Dawn embraces the history and the stories. She’ll gladly share why this is truly such a special place and feels so lucky to call Vail home with her family. She welcomes the opportunity to introduce you to the Vail Valley Lifestyle, some favorite “local” insights, and to learn about your interests, passions and what makes you smile.
