The ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of Serving Clients with Special Needs
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (MDT)
Description
An estimated 1.3 billion people – 16% of the global population – experience a significant disability today. Now more than ever, real estate professionals must learn a proper standard of practice and the ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ of serving clients with a disability. In this session, you will hear inspiring stories about everyday actions transforming lives through compassion, responsibility and service. Most importantly, your understanding of diversity will expand to include issues of accessibility, inclusion, compassion, and equity for all individuals.
Taught by John Young, this class meets the Fair Housing requirement for REALTORS® and Appraisers. Fair Housing must be completed once every three years. The current cycle is January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027.
The VBR is applying for CE credits with the state. CE is NOT guaranteed and will be decided by the Division of Real Estate. We will update this space once it is decided.
*This class will be hosted on-site in the VBR classroom.
Per DORA regulations, attendees who are over 10 minutes late may not be admitted for credit.
*VBR reserves the right to change how a class is hosted, depending on the needs of the instructor, VBR staff, or any regulations.
