Contract to Buy & Sell - 6 CE

Contract to Buy & Sell - 6 CE

Tuesday, January 18, 2022 (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (MST)

Description

Realtors earn 6 CE for attending. Course instructor is John Gillam. Breakfast and lunch will be available for attendees.

This is a class for all levels of Brokers (seasoned or brand-new). This 6 CE course is not just a quick review of changes from the past few years, but rather a full clause by clause review of the purchase contract to provide a rundown of common pitfalls and errors made by brokers while filling out and presenting the contract.

You will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of the meaning of each component of the contract, liabilities that we hold as brokers, and ways to protect yourself and your client in both the drafting and presentation of offers. We will discuss which contracts to use and when to use them, which addendums should be used in various situations. There is a lot of discussion about issues that impact reviewing the contract with clients to avoid surprises, avoiding common errors that occur with e-contracts, and making sure contracts are completed with instruction or direction of a client rather than the inadvertent practice of law

This class will be hosted on-site (Limited classroom depending on COVID restrictions) and Live Online (ZOOM)

Per DORA regulations, attendees who are over 10 minutes late may not be admitted for credit.
